The film, however, narrates the life and times of the alluring leader whose inheritance continues to live on through his words and deeds.

A bilingual biographical film made simultaneously in Marathi and Hindi. Nawazuddin Siddiqui is playing as Bal Thackeray and Amrita Rao is playing the role of his wife. Thackeray is made under Viacom 18 Motion Pictures.
