Satellite Shankar is a forthcoming Bollywood action drama movie written and directed by Irfan Kamal. The film features Sooraj Panchholi and South Indian actress Megha Akash. The film is co-produced by T-series and Cine 1 Studios. Satellite Shankar is based on the life and adventure of an Indian Soldier, Shankar (played by Sooraj Pancholi). The shooting began in September 2018, the first ever Bollywood movie to be shot in 10 states. The film is scheduled to be released on 6 September 2019.

Cast

Sooraj Pancholi is cast in the lead role of Indian Soldier Shankar and Mega Akash as the female lead. Anil K Regi, Palomi Ghosh, and Raj Arjun will be playing other important roles. In the movie, Salman Khan will be seen in a cameo role as Bablu.

Production

Satellite Shankar is the second Bollywood movie of Sooraj Pancholi after his debut film Hero (2015). It also marks his return in Bollywood after 3 years. The principal photography began on 3rd September 2018 in Kashmir and major parts were shot in North India in a schedule of 60 days. The south Indian actress Megha Akash is making her Bollywood debut with this film.

Marketing & Release

The official poster of Satellite Shankar was revealed by Salman Khan on 8 January 2019. The movie makers in February 2019 confirmed, that the film will not release in Pakistan due to the Pulwama attack 2019. Lead by Pakistani terrorists on the Indian state security personnel at the Jammu & Kashmir that took place on 14 February 2019 which resulted in the death of 40 Indian armed forces.
